Cirrus Clouds

Fed up with this incessant ice cold easterly wind, I took comfort in looking back through my Lightroom library and found this one from 2010. I remember being struck by the wonderful sky and Cirrus clouds (AKA Mares' Tales), with cumulus on the horizon.

I've tried a different approach with this one, reducing the saturation and clarity etc. to give the image a softer look - has it worked, or have just made a washed out image? Honest feedback would be appreciated - I won't be offended.

Thanks for looking,

Thanks Kodiak, I rarely venture into Photoshop - perhaps I should do it more often and learn about gradient layers - especially as I'm paying to rent the software.

Thank you for taking the time to post an alternative edit - it is much appreciated.

Thank you, Chris! :)
