I was hoping to get some night time images of the steam trains at Ramsbottom station, alas though none of the full night time ones came out...

But I did get these before it went fully dark.....

And the City of Wells and GWR 4270

the second one looks better...sort of train station feel...
its my guess but the shutter speed took in too much steam movement in the first...

Thanks Geof, yes it was a fairly grim and murky day, just checked the settings both were 1/3rd sec, f11, iso400, -2/3rds EV

I LOVE shot 1 - it's a bit different. Looks like some sort of big spooky claw grabbing tyhe front of the engine
