There's a classic car event in Sheffield city centre each summer called Classics on The Moor (The Moor being the pedestrianised street on which it takes place). As ever, there are usually a few nice shots to be had at these things (even if the cars aren't your bag).

This first batch were shot with my OM-1 and Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 on Rollei Superpan 200. The Superpan negs came out very thin (I'll shoot it at 100asa next time) and very dusty. Despite this, there's some nice contrast and hopefully the dust doesn't distract too much - and would take aaages to completely remove).

The next set are from the same camera and lens, but on Ilford Delta 100. These were exposed as expected and don't suffer from any notable dustiness.

4 & 9 donut for me.
9's blacks are just soooo black, love it.
Did you scan yourself, if so what with etc?

Thanks Matt.

Yes, I scanned them myself on my Epson V550 flatbed using the Epson Scan software. I edit the histogram before doing the final scan to make sure I get the full range of tones and then tweak the shots a little in Lightroom (a bit of contrast and small edits to the highlights, shadows, blacks & whites sliders to get it how I like it. And dust removal! :) ).

Look even better on my monitor at work. Love the AC number plate. The Escort was a lovely shape wasnt it.
Thanks for the tech info, makes me think I should do more B&W as I do like it a lot, seems to me that it makes you look at the photo content etc rather than pixel peep.

Yeah, the mk1 Escort is lovely (as were the mk1 Granada and mk3 Cortina). They haven't dated in the same way that so many other cars from that period have. They have a bit of an American muscle-car look about them, I think.

I love B&W. If I had to pick between colour and B&W, then B&W would win in a heartbeat (even though I'd miss colour a lot).

How is a Mk3 Cortina not the most fantastic car ever
How is Delta 100 not the most fantastic b/w film ever
How is not printing them on ilford warmtone.......even an option

:)

@FishyFish

Love what I’ve seen so far. Any chance you can replace the missing shots ?

Thanks Trevor. None of them are showing as missing on my browser though - have you tried clicking them (they should all link to the Flickr originals, even if they show as missing on here I think).

Thanks , refreshing the page sorted it.
Too many to comment on individually but #9. Just love the curves and Oh !! Those Blacks..
