weekly Cloudforest's 52 for 2021 Week 7 Film

Really nice!
I love how clean it is. The only tiny thing I would change is the little black speck at 2 o'clock on the lemon peel.

Beautifully executed... that's making me thirsty!

Tiny mark on the lemon rind at two o'clock, but not enough to make me send the drink back!
Thanks Paul.

Fruit
Good white background, the lemon standout well. The glass is losing a bit of detail around the edges at the bottom, but it's not the end of the world.
Thanks Dominic. I did struggle a little with the bottonm of the glass.

Nice & bright & fresh looking. Works really well.
Thanks Ian.

Week 0 - I love it plenty of detail when viewed on Flickr, love the bright blue sky.
Week 1 - Wow what a great start to your challenge, perfectly exposed, good composition.
Thanks for the comments Mandy.

Fab fruity pic Pete :)
Cheers Dave.

looks very refreshing, clean and simple it works well.
Thanks Alison.

Great use of the bright background and the lemon is a lovely splash of colour. Really good size i the image too. But, (sorry) is it leaning to the left ever so slightly (or is it my didgy eyes?)?
Thanks Jim. You're very right - it does have a lean to it on closer inspection!

Great composition and lighting! The only thing I can pick, and this would be really picky is that the bubbles are a tiny bit distracting and I wonder if still water would have also worked?

That being said - the colours and overall in your face brightness and cheeriness (sorely needed now!) are great!
Thanks Alex. I never thought of trying it with still water. I was going for even more of a sparkle but the bubbles disappeared almost immediately after pouring.

As mentioned a bright sharp image, very good indeed
Thanks Alan

Nicely done Pete. The slight vignette bottom left helps to ground the glass I believe (at least I think it's that giving the shot ground).
Thanks Tim.

Pleasing image, nicely executed. (y)
Thank you David.

Now that's the best use of fruit! A lovely shot... sharp, crisp and really well executed. I am very impressed!
Thanks Helen. Much appreciated.

That's a very clean looking image Pete.
A great take on the theme too.
Cheers Chris.

Cracking fruit shot Pete, very well shot.
Thanks Dave.

That's a beauty and looks very refreshing too. I love it.
Thanks Stan. Much appreciated.

Fabulous shot,, beautifully executed and not easy on a white background  from me too.
Thanks a lot Susie.

Great lighting in this photo, looks lovely and refreshing!
Cheers Tom.

Nice PoV here and using the snow to add the perspective to the image is great.

There's nothing like sticking the boot in, from the off :D
Nice descriptive image Pete.

Definitely the boots for this time of year, don’t know if positioning them fully in the snow would make them more focused

You have snow! I wish I'd thought of this, my boots are currently very muddy!

I really like that you haven't included the whole boot, but there's enough around it to give context. Depth of field is perfect.

I like the angle you have used and it’s a subject that’s perfect for the theme

Good use of the snow to put the boots into the environment.
Thanks Tim.

Nice PoV here and using the snow to add the perspective to the image is great.
Cheers Jim.

A good image of a proper pair of boots.
Thanks Paul. The boots aren’t getting as much use as I’d like at the moment.

Can't beat a good dirty pair of walking boots, nice shot.
Cheers Dave.

Cheers Stuart. It was starting to rain when l shot it so l was in and out without too much messing around,

Super close up shot Pete, lots of detail in there, I like the hint of slushy snow.
Thanks Susie.

Thanks Bebop. Quite a depth of snow on Thursday but it’s nearly all gone now.

I like the angle you have used and it’s a subject that’s perfect for the theme
Thanks Allan.

Great PoV, and definitely hits the mark for the theme!!
Cheers Alex.

Dirty
Good contrast between the browns of the dirty boots and the white of the snow.

These boots are made for walking! Good muddy detail.
Thanks Helen.

Much appreciated Dominic.

Week 1 Fruit, very nice detail in the lemon.
Week 2 Dirty boots in the snow a nice composition, glad we rarely see that down here!
Thanks Clive.

Great in-yer-face boot. (y)
Thank you David.

Dirty - nice use of the snow to set the scene .
Thanks Alison.

Nice simple image with a great white background really like that

It's a beaty!

Stone(s)
Good set up, I like the white background and patterns in the pebbles.

I like this, good detail in the FG stone, showing a pleasing DoF, well lit too.

But ... the three BG stones look a bit lost, a bit awkward. I'm wondering if it would look more natural if all four were together, touching, with the focus still on the FG stone. Either that or the BG stones more randomly placed/distanced.

simple but effective nicely focused on the front stone

I really like the minimalist nature of your latest image, the greys and whites of the stones are lovely and the use of pure white background is brilliant. Really well done, this is my image of the week I think.

Nice image, made me think of a paw print. The lighting at the top right reduces the detail of the adjacent rock, possibly increasing the contrast would enhance it

Really nice composition and lighting. Could be B&W, could be colour. I like that kind of image.

Nice simple image with a great white background really like that
Thanks Allan

A nicely taken image with good lighting and control of DoF
Cheers Paul

Simple and very nicely lit.
Thanks Stan

Nicely done. not much that can be said !
Cheers Tim

Agree with what's been said, great shot and BG.
Thanks Dave

It's a beaty!
Cheers dave

Thanks David. I did try grouping them closer but I didn't much like it. My main aim was to get the striped inclusions running more or less in the same direction.

simple but effective nicely focused on the front stone
Thanks Alison

Nicely set up and captured. Really like this one.
Thanks David

The white background works nicely with the lighter streaks in the stones. Good detail in the front stone and nicely lit.
Thanks Bebop
