Clouds

On a walk last night there were some lovely clouds and this is my first attempt at something different.

First thing to do is lose the vignette.

Way too obtrusive.

I'd also play with the black and white points. This will add more contrast and punch which is what you need if there is no obvious point of interest (as here).

A high contrast mono conversion may work too but watch for introducing unwanted noise

I think the vignette was from the lens, I don’t remember adding it. A crop might sort it out.

I’ll have a play about with this image on my way back from a meeting. Thanks for the idea of the b&w version, something to consider.
