weekly Cobra's 2020 cataclysmic catastrophes Week 52 decorate and done!

OK, you win. I can't find him, where is that wee dirty Harry?
He's going through his psychedelic phase again

The spider shot resembles my knitting after a glass or two..
Loving the Hidden Harry shot!

Week 33 Camouflage.

Shoe horn #1
Tigers stripes are disruptive camouflage when hunting through the jungle
If the lazy SOB's can be arsed to get up!

Shoe horn #2
The Sloth Bear ( Baloo from the jungle book is modeled on these) is so rarely seen, its camouflage is something to behold.
I was lucky that I caught it de-cloaking and yes that is rain just for a change

And last but not least Where's Wally? Harry?
Its gonna take ages to get that muck off him the dirty sod! ...

One picture of some grass with an orange patch, one of a tree trunk and one of a bonsai...what is camouflaged about that?
If you read the pre-fixes, all is explained (y)

Loving the tiger shot and bang on for the theme - not a shoe horn in sight !!!
A nice simple shot :)

Is that bear really the basis for Baloo? I'm used to the Disney film and therefore have no clue.

Cheers for not noticing the slight shoe horn Tim, I know this one was subtle :D

Allegedly yes, they have massive claws (remember the song about paw paw?)
And Baloo was a lazy sob. aka a Sloth bear ;)

Tigers are definitely camouflaged.
I thought that too, thanks for not noticing them all Dom (y)
:D

Love the tiger shot. He looks just like my mogs when he's spark out in the sun!
I see you've lost Harry again this week ;)

Nice tiger and bear - both look a bit damp with the rainy weather.

Catch up time
week 34 tiny .
Tiny pollen grains on the back of a mahoosive insect

Week 35
Snappers choice
Anything can be grown in small pots if you are careful.
Bonsai Fuchsia in training

Tiny; Nice Bee pic Chris and those pollen grains show up really well.

Snapper's Choice: Never seen a Bonsai Fuschia before. I'd be interested to see it's progression.

The fuchsia, its old root stock, that was growing in the ground, until last spring ( 2019) it'll get cut back hard shortly, the idea is to expose the gnarly old wood
and to encourage thick short "branches" but also keeping it compact.
It'll stay like that for awhile ( maybe a couple more years) until it's ready to transplanted into a small bonsai pot.

Interesting bonsai in training. Keep us updated on its progress :)

Thanks Dave (y)
And will do, but it's a slow process, taking several years to complete,
and not the ideal hobby for someone with little patience ( like me :D )

Excellent furry giant tiny bee, loads of detail.
Snappers choice trainee bonsai fuschia, stands out very well against the fence.
Cheers Clive (y)

Week 36 Textures
Obviously Not my normal thing TBH but I saw it and thought of this weeks theme.
So rather than shoe horn .....

Oh Go on then since you asked so nicely :D
Heavily textured Mum ( one horned Rhino) and smooth as a rhinos bum, baby Rhino
I even left the rusting bars and chains in for more effect, along with ripples in the sand ( substrate)
But its still cute nonetheless :)

I like them both Chris. The fungus is a bit other-worldly and the baby Rhino is ever so cute. (y)

It sure is unusual from you for the first one but how cute is that little Rhino guy. Loads of texture everywhere.
Maybe I've turned over a new leaf?
No I didn't think so either :D
Cheers Stan (y)

Nice shots for textures. Baby Rhino gets the nod from me :)

Nice selection of shots there Chris. Sorry to see Harry taking a couple of weeks off (or is he still just very well camouflaged?!)

Your bonsai Fuchsia and your textured rhinos are the standouts for me.

Harry? yes you are right, I've not seen him since that shoot :D

Nice set of shots. The rhino shot works well on a number of levels.

Great images for Textures, and yes they have plenty of texture, nicely thought out
