weekly Cobra's 2020 cataclysmic catastrophes Week 52 decorate and done!

Up close and personal
With a few that share my garden ..

#1 drone fly ( bee mimic harmless)
#2 baby jumping spider ( harmless )
#3 common purple and gold moth ( vicious! )

And my socially aware personal assistant, facing his demons
after his lock down in a secure unit .. The shock treatment worked I guess.

Nice set of creepy crawlies, have to ask why is the moth vicious
nice to see Harry is wearing his face covering although it seems to be the least of his worries.

Nice set of insects - I guess you guessed the names :D

No3 is a Mint moth

Lovely set of insects.. have to say the idea of a jumping spider gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Immersion therapy for Harry then!

That`s a good set of images Chris, always thought the Bee Fly had a long nose

Got to be good old Harry again, as he does get about a bit.
Cheers Dave, and yes my bad, its a drone fly I don't know why I typed "bee"

Glad to see your torture of Tim is continuing

A man has to have a hobby :D

A nice collection of shots - the moth is rather beautiful.
Thanks Alex (y)

It was a joke ;)
But then again, if they get in your hair, they are worse than bats :D

You must have seen lion tamers at the circus sticking their heads in lions mouths?
I guess he's in training to run away to the circus? ( we can but hope :D )
Thanks for dropping by Allan (y)

I had so many images open while I was doing that, I got into a bit of a mucking fuddle
as I already said to ( fuji) Dave, I know its a drone fly.

Not convinced Dave Mint moths have black underwings.
Thanks for dropping by (y)

I think we are safe :D

Beautiful set of insect shots. Like the idea of the square crop and triptych
Thanks Stan (y)

I see wee Harry is up to his usual mischief.
I told him to wear a mask, it'll keep him safe....
I don't think he has quite got the idea :D

Nice set of 3 for your Personal week. Great detail and colour.

Lovely set Chris. I'm very envious of yout Mint moth pic. I chased one around the garden last week but failed to get anywhere near it never mind get it in the frame.

Lovely set off macro shots. I particularly like the fake Bee.
Thanks Dom :)

Cheers David. (y)

Thanks Alex (y) it was just sat on some sedum flowers, no thought of moving.

Very nice insects, who would name a red and yellow moth purple and gold?
No idea blame the taxonomists :p

Poor minion, I am sure there are laws against cruelty to minions.
Minions of laws I bet :p
Thanks for dropping by Clive :)

After getting rained on, on my first pleasure trip in over 16 weeks,
of biblical proportions, I started looking around for large bits of wood to build an ark with!

I give you, what is probably the most graceful of all the big cats.

The Cheetah

Cheetah-11.jpg

Harry couldn't join me as I couldn't book him a ticket in time,

But I did find a (dis)graceful bear, just leaving the woods ;)
