Cobra's 2021 52 Creative Calamities Week 52 showcase, done and out.

Nice kitties! Like em both :)

Aww, they look like teddy bears in the first shot. Butter wouldn't melt eh!
As for the discussion thread... :jawdrop:

I know, how cute are they?

You've heard the expression compare the meerkat?
I wonder if they would pay for that image?
:D

Thanks for dropping by Helen :)

Aw so cute in the first photo. Like cuddly toys.
Cheers David.
Once we are allowed out to play again, I'll take you to meet them :D

I trust its inside at the moment, away from radiators but not too cool
Yes, it's inside. I searched online for info and drainage is mentioned, my pot is fully water tight, is that a problem, it's how it was supplied

Pair

They look very distinguished, I can just see a photo editor adding a monocle to them.

Lovely Pair image, thse expressions are just sublime!. Lovely colours etc.

That head on look and the expressions are great. Beautiful things, nicely shot!

Absolutely.
Good drainage is pretty much paramount in any small tree, so the roots don't rot.
Get it moved ASAP repot into something like 50% posting soil & 50% cat litter ( yes really Tesco's dust free is good) or rough grit. but less with the grit, if thats what you go for say 60/40
Fine Orchid bark is also good.
Everyone has their favourite mix.
At the end of the day, It needs to be light and well draining (y)
And don't be tempted to go for something like Acadama ( Bonsai soil)
Its clumps and compacts very quickly and is bloody expensive.

First one for me as well. Growing up, Cheetahs were my favourite animals but whenever we go to the zoo they always seemed to be asleep!
Cheers Steve.
They do tend to sleep a lot don't they?

Catch up..

Week 07 Film
Nope still can't see him..

Week 08 Halfway between a grub and a ladybird

Like both shots Chris, Finding Nemo is cool and like it more the half.
Cheers Dave. (y)
Been a bit remiss on comments the last couple of weeks, I've had a lot going on ..
Mostly sorted now though (y)

Dora was always my favourite character, and sadly I think I share some of her attributes :ROFLMAO: Nice colourful shot there.

Half - I thought it was half emerged - not a shoehorn? Not it's best looking phase, though I'm not so fond of ladybirds these days. Sometimes we get inundated with them - they get everywhere!

Thanks Bee, I always like "Gill" just like me dark and sinister :D

Better those than the aphids slaughtering my plants and little trees (y)

Film.. Groan.. that's a big fishtank...
Half... fascinating shot - I have hundreds of those breaking out every year. Somewhere in my walls they have a breeding ground.

Week 09 my reflection natural light from my left = low key.

Film - Really liking the bright vibrant light. And... *Groan*.
Half - No Comment !
Reflection - That's a great bit of Low Key photography. I'm not seeing the thing behind you Kell mentions. I'll have to look on my other monitor.

Nice one Chris. Definitely on theme both for reflection and tech.
I might be tempted to tone down the highlight on the back of your hand but it's not a biggie as it does balance the portrait with your forehead and chin.

Nice low key reflection.

You're better looking than I imagined :D

I do like that.

Nothing more constructive to add other than I would possibly have cloned out the mark behind you - a hinge is it?
Thanks Kell (y) although I see nothing behind me?

Thanks Tim, I thought you'd appreciate half :D
As above I see nothing either, not even whacking up the highlights to destruction.

Nice take on the theme, and different lighting make it interesting.

Pete
Thanks Pete (y)

Thanks for the feedback Iain (y)
I did turn it down a bit, but it didn't really seem to fit IMO anyway
Nice low key reflection.

Maybe that's my better looking twin?
Cheers Dave (y)

Excellent take on the theme nicely executed
Cheers Allan (y)

I really like all the dead space around the subject in this.
