Colour Movement

An experiment in deliberating moving the camera during exposure to try and create interesting abstract colour patterns. My subject in this case was a stcack of coloured craft sticks.

I like the vibrancy and the smooth graduation between colours, there is not much between them so I like themall equally.

Thanks Steve, I do have another set of 4 where I didn't move the tripod quite as much or fast, so some details stayed in focus.

I've got some really interesting abstracts by accident, but it seemed a bit more difficult to do it delibrately...

I prefer the top 2 as the bottom 2 seem to have a distracting bit in the middle. I agree that it is always harder I do on purpose!

Thanks Ruth. It is far much harder to do it deliberately. I'd already tried deliberately out of focus shots, these were focused it was just a matter of guessing how fast to move the tripod whilst the shutter was open.

I guess the next logical step would be to set the lens out of focus and move the camera....
