#2 ... #4 would be better without the leaves.

There is, at this time of the year, a lot of debris of
all sorts floating on the water. These will be care-
fully healed out, of course, but some like those in
#4 — maybe not too obtrusive — I will leave.

number 2 is the most interesting for me… i'm useless at putting into words the reasons why i like something but it's the one that gets my interest the most

You don't have to, Mark,
I can guess very well the "why"!
Thanks for your comment.

I prefer number 2 because it is warm with the blue feather giving a cold contrast.

I too, like 2 the best
I would suggest it has the best colour contrast and the most interesting water
However number three has some gorgeous subtle browns, oranges and greens and the feather is better rendered.
depending on the context. all are very usable

#2 for me. Love the colours and the feather with the reflection.

Love the second shot, silky smooth, but they all hit the right note with me.

#2 for me also.

(I think the feather is maybe just a tad too blue though?)
Lovely Autumn colours & I really like the swirling patterns, almost like peacock feather reflections.

That works for me Daniel. (y) It would make a lovely wall hanging imho.

#2 for me also. Followed by 4. Common denominator - the patterns in the water.

#2 for me too. The water has an almost industrial metallic look, while the feather seems serene as it glides along...
Lovely picture.

Number 2 for me. The others are 'just' a feather on water, there is limited interest there for me. But #2 turns an otherwise boring subject into a piece of art I would happily have on my wall.
