I think there is a little bit too much going on in this scene for me. I do like the sepia finish, but would much prefer a more simple composition.

How's this? Just "Going"

I prefer the first, every thing of interest is all at the right hand half of the second.

Much prefer the first.
simple can be over done, to the extent of losing much of the atmosphere and interest.

Second one for me, I think it's more interesting as I I'm drawn to the single boat. In the first there's so much going on that I don't really know where to look

First for me, as there is activity in both sides of the image.
In No2, everything is RH centric.

The first one tells a story, the second is just a picture of a boat.

Really like the first one, nice sense of activity and purpose. I would like to see it in colour though.

I prefer the first, sums up Whitby perfectly for me, a busy harbour and the abbey over looking the town. Nice
conversion too

Thanks all :)

Like the sky and there is more of it in the first one but I prefer the less busy composition in the second.
