I will be going here soon because it is beautiful etc. Worth taking my Tamron 150-600 mm to look for birds or is it unlikely that there will be anything special and I should concentrate on the landscape etc?
 
Hi David, not sure if you have already been, but I was there last week and Coniston was only good for landscapes. However, a visit to Esthwaite Water (nearby) was rewarded by finding an Osprey, which is nesting on the lake.

Visited twice, but only saw it once and sadly too far away. - Rubbish shots with huge cropping, but better than nothing.

Hope you have more luck.

Thanks for that, I did go and left my Tamron 150-600 mm behind. A good day and I saw some interesting insects but for birds not worth it.
