Another quick one from from flying visit to York. The statue of Constantine the Great who was made Emperor of Rome at York.

To be honest at first I didn't like the right hand placement of the statue and thought that there was too much space on the left hand side, but after looking at it, I've grown to like it. It looks like he's casualy dropping trees and buildings (or about to pick them up), when his real focus is elsewhere... Gazing back to Rome maybe...

You have given the subject a great feel of imposing size from where you shot from, maybe include the writing on the plinth of the image would have helped though.

Certainly a good effort.
Is He not gazing west? South the furthest CCW I would venture.
Maybe he was trying to get as far from Constantinople as possible.
