Seem to remember it was very colourful. A little like Ballamory (Tobermory I think is the real name) and you could also take in the Titanic museum although not sure there is much to photograph there.
If you have the time you could drive to the most westerly point in Ireland to a little village called Dingle. There used to be wild dolphins that you could see in a boat tour if I remember rightly.
If you drive a few mile on from dingle and are prepared to go over a few footpaths then you'll find some totally secluded beaches.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I definitely want to head back as we didn't get to do too much and the weather was more up and down than predicted. We actually found a really nice spot at Galley Head, but the timing wasn't quite right. I haven't had a chance to process my images yet, but hopefully I got a couple of decent ones.
