It is a Reed Cormorant, (Phalacrocorax africanus), sometimes called a Long Tailed Cormorant, Stan
mainly found in freshwater lake - taken in S Africa near the southern coast

cheers Bill, the red eye makes it quite attractive, but it looks a little dark on my monitor, tou could perhaps make it "pop" more with a selective layers adjustment (the eye only)
