I would maybe try and tone the highlights down in the sunrise though pic 2

i like #1 - makes me want to walk down that very path

#2 does not need changing IMO - accept thats what a sunset looks like
if you want it different - take up painting....

Love that first one the light through the trees is lovely.

The blown bits are a little distracting in the second although I think the first one is a much stronger image anyway

I think the PP was not achieve the right way and
some decisions were made before others giving
a not so optimal final rendition, though.
