Creative macro using the Panasonic LX3

The weather was crap tonight so I broke out a lamp a sheet of tracing paper and a wee selection of still life objects that I could use to test the macro capabilities of this ageing but capable little camera.
In case anyone is wondering #3 is a cucumber slice which I found tricky to get any element of sharpness out of it, probably due to its flesh like make up but there is just something about it that makes me keep looking at it.

Anyway thanks for looking and all comments gratefully received.

#3 hits the button! (y)(y)(y)

there very nice.

#1 - love the contrast of the red leaves against the white background, slight niggle with the larger gap at the 11 oclock ish but probably not much you could do about it.
#2 - my favourite, love the colours and the detail in the leaf and the two strong leading lines into the picture.
#3 - I like the soft appearance and the shades in it.
