Critique my image please

First go using my Canon 300mm 2.8.

The most important thing is, is your client happy with it? Did it sell? That’s the value a photo like this has.

Otherwise its sharp, in focus, well exposed, captures the action well, the players are nicely separated from the background but creatively it’s well I’m sorry but it’s boring, just another ‘stock’ photo!

Its too small to comment on the quality..... But it's cropped too tight at the feet especially but also left right... the crops just wrong visually and also wrong to be of any use other than social mdia/web ... cropping that tight is of little use to a paper and limits the size of frame a punter would use..

for quality critique try a bigger file

Possibly not enough at the bottom, the ball could have been left whole and not cropped so tightly, but an okay image apart from that.

Doesn't look pin sharp, but hard to tell from the small size. Ball is cropped. OK.
