Cycle Cross (Scouts)

Hi,

My son has recently joined the Scouts which he is loving. The district had a Cycle Cross in Bispham Wood. I went along not knowing whether I would be allowed to take any shots or not, turns out they were very happy for me to wonder around anywhere and some of these are now on the St Helens Scouts website .

The light was rubbish, very misty, so stuck with the 16-85 and tried to get close!

Anyway, enough waffle onto the pics.

I think you have a very nice set here, and love the very low position you got yourself in for #2 and a not bad panning shot in #1

It's been 40 years or so since I last went to Bispham Hall as a young scout. glad to hear they had no issues with you shooting there.

Good set, good panning on #1 gives a great impression of speed and a nice low viewpoint on #2, #5 and #6. Plus a terrific expression on the face of the rider fighting the bike over the log in #4.

That log was near the end, they were a little tired by the time they got to it, that particular lad gave his bike a right good whack on the log.
