Plain and simple, it works well. I would maybe have included the whole chair.

Half is a well seen image. I personally prefer the mono version. I do wonder how long it will last!
Reflections had me looking at my glasses too. Good shot and looks like a nice place to sit and watch the world go by from your other photo.
Rough is far from it! It is a cracking image and perfect for the theme. The colours are stunning!
Smooth is very good and fits the bill. I do wonder what a portrait shot including a bit more of the chair would look like?

Fits the criteria although I think using the scarf which is long vertically would lend the image to being portrait and the full chair included. I think the implied story could be stronger viewing the full chair

I know the picture doesn't say Smooth, and I know most would expect to see the full chair and positioned more centrally. I did try shots like that but .... just really liked the simplicity of this one. Plus, there were complications with introducing skirting board and floor, draws the eye more from the scarf.
