Spent a happy hour in the sunshine yesterday chasing damselflies at a local country park, to the curiosity of a lot of people having barbecues close by!

Thank you. They seemed a little more subdued than usual today - it was a warm evening and they were mostly happy to stay put while I faffed!

Superb as chris said they stand out nicely from the background
Well done on the focus too got the tail as well as the head on focus
Damselflies are my favourite macro subjects pretty little things but they can be flighty and fly off just as you get close enough!

Thank you! They are a real treat to photograph and I was amazed how still these were. One or two even let me bend the grass behind them slightly to help with the background! I almost wonder if they were a bit dazed by smoke from the barbecues nearby?
