I would suggest to try the first but showing less of the sky and
more of the gown if you have that flexibility.

I think so, she caught your eye in the first place! So explore why.
IMO, leave as little BG as possible and as much of the subject as possible…
really concentrating the viewer's attention on the woman.

to a strong image character

If the original file permits, take some off the bottom to reduce the length of the attire and increase the width to the right, e.g.

No one will have the solution but you, you clicked…remember why
and how to express it.
