Hi All,

Took my DSLR with the 18-135mm lens to whitby with my girlfriend and her dog.
I am trying to get familiar with my camera.

#1 is a winner for me, great lines, lovely colours and textures in the stone and the guy on the steps just finishes it off.
 
Getting more familiar seems to be paying off!
Another vote for No1, combination of the steps, features and person all together.
No2 would (my preference) be also be great if levelled, and cropped below the busy walkway (panoramic style), to give a greater feeling of isolation.

No 1 is a winner! Personally, I'd also crop in tighter to remove sky and grass.

Yes Reheat module I agree that maybe number 2 should be cropped a little.
I think I do need to start cropping better. I try and get as much in as possible, which does not always make for a good picture.
