Deep Sea Aberdeen

The only sense to the scale is the wee orange boat . The supply ships are big but dwarfed by the rig.

Sadly it's collateral damage in the search for cheap oil and shows how easy it is for oil prices and countries to be manipulated. I think there's quite a few rigs 'resting' in the Cromarty Firth.

Where did you take the photo from?

I've always meant to have another go at photographing rigs at night. My first try had the highlights too washed out.
