Went to my original location of shooting but unfortunately the place is close for renovation.
Good thing I did my assignment beforehand, drove to the nearest spot, arrived in there just in time for the last light.
In any circumstance, a back up plan is favorable than none.
Nikon D3 + Nikkor 14-24 f2.8 with 6 stop ND

Good back up plan + good gear = good shot!
Did you consider keystoning your photograph?

Just out of interest, what is keystoning?

Keystoning may be a non destructive operation by which vertical and horizontal
lines are rendered back to their normal relative angles in a given perspective.

May be non destructive towards the quality of the picture but, always, there is
a price to pay in pixel count, ultimately, in the consequent crop to re-establish
the right angled frame of the picture.

Using a tilt shift lens is also a great way of ensuring straight verticals. Its important that on the horizontal plane the camera is absolutely level...

Having a tilt shift lens will be superb, but unfortunately I don't have it :)

This is a really nice shot, I love the colours.

Straightening the verticals so that objects in the image don't appear to be falling backwards.

Thanks guys for the added info! Will have to learn that keystoning next time! :)

Glad to help!
This is to illustrate what Toni and I meant:
Here, I kept the original frame ratio 2:3 but you could make the decision to change it! …say to 1:1 or other.

Without a PC/TS lens, you're not doomed! Just leave enough room around your subject
to spare some picture real-estate and learn keystoning.
