A few from the streets and docks of Dhaka, Bangladesh from a visit in August 2024.

A princess poses for her wedding pictures, surrounded in the delights of the Dhaka docks

Chit chat and old skool Nokias still rule

Scrubbing the docks in a huge river ferry prior to departure inland

The ferry captain in his cabin. He spoke excellent English and was writing poetry in between making entries in his small handwritten ship logbook

I love the life and the 'I don't care who watches' attitude in much of the developing world. This shave was the equivalent of 6p.

The live animal markets are truly brutal on the nose, the eyes and the ears. It is one of the most unhygienic places I have ever walked through, but this is real life for many of Dhaka's 24 million residents.

At last a calming stroll in a train station.
Thanks for looking
