Hey!

So, have tried two different processing techniques for a series of photos from a WW2 re-enactment on this test shot - I like both for different reasons, but am wondering if there is a favourite... Second one definitely has more punch and grit, but maybe the first is more appropriate to the feel of the subject???

Appreciate any thoughts...

Thanks

prefer the 2nd - more facial details - but maybe a little less PP

blue lady and coffee wagon have to GO..!.....:)

I'd say in between…

#1 is too washed out and
#2 too muddy!

Keep the feel of the first, but try to bring out more of the facial details as per the second.

That's why it is important to explore! Viewing the
different versions, one matures up the proper mid-
dle in everything. (y)

Maybe the blue lady may just be desaturated?

If authenticity is needed then surely this image should be in monochrome!

the first with some pp to lighten up the faces
the second is pure pp for pp sake..dont care too much for it...sorry
the lady and the coffee tanker can be removed as they are pushing the front and centre position
cheers

I'd prefer the version without the distraction of the old lady, bless her.
