A kind of reportage.
This event takes place every year in Kilwinning (Scotland).
It's called The Papingo Shoot and held by the "Ancient Society of Kilwinning Archers".
The first recorded Papingo shoot was in 1483.
OK, enough of the BS....some pics.

And at the top of the steeple;

[size=+2]AND THE FANS GO WILD[/size]
Basically if you "Ding Doon the Doo" you win the prize and become captain for the year.
Nothing fancy just plain, old fashioned bows but with rubber tipped arrows.
The old table style grave stones are covered in chips caused by arrow heads from days gone by.
