This image is a cheat, maybe, because I didn't visualise this at the time. I was trying out a new-old zoom lens (manual Nikkor 80-200 f4.5) on a frosty morning on the way to work. This scene presented itself in muted slightly misty colours, so I grabbed it, then didn't really have the energy or enthusiasm to actually DO anything with it, so and just left it sat on the hard drive.

So to the present, I've stopped running for now and have found fresh energy to start looking at pictures again, saw some possibilities and gave it a go. To me, if I anthropomorphise slightly, the trees are 'aware' of each other but standing in small groups instead of together in a wood - hence the name.

I really like this, the only distraction is the piece of very dark / black cloud on the top edge. A small cropnor clone would address. The branches on the right are not ideal but don't intrude too much for me. Lovely mono.
