Dog Appreciation Thread, post your fave dog shots here...

There are loads of Bulldog pictures on the net but you don't see any being active, Roxy loves her walks and runs, very funny to watch her running at full pelt, looks like she's crabbing, and she does find it hard to stop!

Thanks for looking!

Yes, it is me - aged about 10, I think!

She was a retired police tracker dog, who had then gone to a breeder and had a litter of pups. At that time there were only eleven bloodhounds in the country. Then the breeder couldn't keep her any longer and they gave her to me. It was amazing to watch her tracking through the fields at breakneck speed. She was virtually blind but never, ever bumped into anything, until the day she got out onto the busy A34 in snow and got run over by a bus. I was inconsolable. :(

Awww Jean that's awful :(

Now that you've started me thinking about absent friends, I'll have to dig out some photos of our last two and scan them in.

Thank you.. Lola is 18 weeks old..
She is a Shih Tzu x Yorkshire Terrier - named a Shorkie..

Shorkie - I love it! When one of our Yorkies got fresh with a visiting Corgi we did wonder if they'd have Corkies!

Thanks Stephen... She is getting cuter every day...
I should do a daily photo blog of her!!

Lizzie, you'll regret it if you don't - see below - get started now, cos I bet she's changing every day and they're not puppies for long. :) Oh, and please share them with us. :)

I found it quite emotional, but sometimes it's nice just to have a quick glance through and remember what great companions they were.

Gorgeous dogs, nic. I hope Splat's blood test show there's nothing serious wrong with her. You can't help worrying - one of my Yorkies has just been diagnosed with an enlarged heart and I'm having to fight the urge to wrap him in cotton wool - he's enjoying life doing normal doggy things and medication is helping.

Aw bless! Well we've been told she has a grade 2 heart murmour but vets have said they don't think that's her main problem. Ah well fingers crossed, she seems ok but you never know. Thanks for your reply

Great thread! Here's a few of my blue roan cocker spaniel who just celebrated his 14th birthday a few weeks ago.

Jess is a working English Cocker spaniel. I stress the 'working' part because they are 'built' different to what I will call 'show' Cocker spaniels. These dogs are tough little bug*ers and will run all day.
