Sorry, after seeing the other dragon fly thread, it reminded me of this pic I took on holiday this year. It was on my car aerial and I took with a Panasonic DSC-LS2 point and shoot on macro setting. C&C welcome.

I caught this beauty by the side of mountain lake in Wales. Thankfully he kept still long enough for me to take as many shots as wanted!

A point and shoot will do an average exposure for the whole scene so you ended up losing the highlights. you can get a bit more from it by playing with the levels a bit.

Main thing is that either by design or accident you have a nice composition with the diagonal and the position of the bug in the frame.
