Taken in Hampshire today, I'm thinking Southern Hawker? edit: or on further inspection maybe a Common Hawker?

I've just been watching Hobbys (Hobbies?) flying around catching these at my new local nature reserve. Amazing to see and never seen a Hobby before so 4 in a day was rather special :)

Definitely a Migrant Hawker (Aeshna mixta) male and not a Southern Hawker (Aeshna cyanea).

great shot
try and get the bird with it in its beak next time lol lol

They were a long way away, this is 800mm FFE and cropped very slightly for framing. Close enough that through bins you could clearly identify them and if you zoom to 100% on the photos (or live view) you can see too but no chance of them sitting closer and way too fast for me to capture when on the hunt!
