thats just not playing fair, you have just moved the goalposts again!!

both are super I really like that first one though

Both are superb but #1 wins because of the flower (daisy?) in the droplet.

I've got to ask.. what lens did you use to take these?

Thanks folks ;)

Madferrit: I used the MP-e 65 for these shots.

Cherryrig: The mag cover was done by Brian Valentine (Lord V) as he is known on the net. He has been doing this stuff for ages and his shots are superb to say the least.

No.1 is Stunning, brilliant work (y)

Lovely and clear....you say "droplets"?

Is this water or have you resorted to baby oil for these?

Bob

well what do you say #2 is ace but has nothing on #1,that is just great

WOW, they're both fantastic!

Great shots and I love the lighting/background in them both!

Exellent job!

Very good Alby !

as someone mentioned earlier, you have moved the goalposts !!

Been trying some macro this week, will try some more tonight and post some later,

No where near as good as yours mind !

(y)

you sold your soul to the devil did'nt you, no human can get those shots mind you i think selling a few organs might fund the lens, but im nikon user

Thanks for the kind comments folks, all very much appreciated and glad you like them. ;)

You can go off some people! :p Lovely! that first one is a stunner!

PLEEEEEAAAASSSE teach me how to take awesome shots like that! :notworthy:

Cool, thanks! (y)

Fantastic.

How did you get the reflections so perfect?

It's a refraction, the drop acts like a little lens and the stuff you see in it is from behind the drop. Looking through the drop everything is upside-down. The shot is made up of 2 images one focuses on the drop and the second focuses on the refraction in the drop, the two shots are then focus stacked together.

Ok stop now Alby seeing some of your shots is what has got me thinking about givig macro ago. Then i see shots like these and think maybe i shouldn't.

Great shots  but like many ohers shot 1 pips it for me to

Wow! Excellent, the first reflection is perfect, great capture.

Already been said but... Wow! Alby the first shot is stunning :clap:

Do you use some kind of slide or rig on the tripod? how far away from the grass blade is the lens?

Hi Alby no 1 is an amazing shot I'm surprised by how much detial I can seen in the drop
Pete

i SO need to try this out - #1 is stunning - #2 is equally as impressive but the first has a sparkle
