Drydocking.

A fascinating collection Andy, it's really interesting to see something that we would not normally have access to.

Enjoyed looking at those, thank you for posting them.

Interesting set and so much for 1m high guardrails in the first 2, plus the inevitable gaffer in the white helmet with his hands in his pockets! Great light in #6 against a solid grey sky as well.

those brought back memories for me...
as an engineering apprentice in a shipyard which did drydock repairs as well
changing a rudder, tailshaft and propellor were the hardest and most difficult jobs especially in winter
we used very heavy hammers and a giant spanner to get the tailshaft nut off...all the apprentices had a go...
the comments to my session were...hit the bluddy thing for f*****s sake!!

of the collection you show no 5 looks like the size of boat we could handle and it is a well proportioned shot
cheers

Nice work - but any idea what's with the target on the side in #4?

Cheers Andy. So is the black and yellow thing on the side just some form of ident, and not something for Icelandic trawlers to aim for when the next cod war starts?
