Upgrade price or Full price again?

Prices show on the main page link he included.

I will be checking the chatter on the DxO forum later :)

PS I note that some improvement is not yet in the Windows version???

Just looked in on the DxO community forum and nothing mentioned yet by earlier upgraders !

Looking on the website there are a few new webinars due this month and November about PL3 usages.

Of the improvements, from memory that sound useful:-
The improved Library function using .XMP sidecar files and possibly more importantly importing those generated by PS and LR. AFAIK you could import the LR Catalogue before but I thought that .XMP were not honoured ~ IMO if that is looking as promising as it sounds likely Asta la vista baby to LR6 ;)

The much requested and awaited Cloning/repair tool

The masking tool and other pallets look interesting and useful.

Whether they all add up to v3 (over v 2.3) or should have been v2.5 + is moot but the list though not long appear to be solid additions....................so what will v3.x have to offer???

An upgrade price of £42.99 (do I recall that right?) is probably about right bearing in mind it is a perpetual license not a subscription ;)

PS I will wait for a few real world end users to post about it before upgrading

Thought I'd have a quick look at the demo. His comparison with lightroom at the start showed an image from LR that seems more flawed than the un-processed raw - surely operator error?

I'd be interested to know if other users think PL actually produces better results than LR with a competent operator - I'm a long-time LR user that doesn't want to get a subscription, but can't process my Sony A7III raw files directly in Lightroom 5.7 - and historically DXO Optics pro 11 wasn't as effective at processing RAWs as LR 5. I also use On1, but am not happy with the export function in the present versions, and would like something that will work with my images directly.

I do, but I don't want to install/uninstall software just to find out I don't want to use it, or that it's no better than I'm already using. If a bunch of users came out of the woodwork and all agreed that it was better than LR I'd be happy to try, but the example in the video shows a recommendation from someone who apparently didn't know how to use LR.

I have used DXO OP in the past, and it was less useful that LR & On1 Photoraw - did a direct comparison here, presenting images processed through all 3. My feeling *from watching that video* is that it still has another year of improvement to go before it has caught up with Lightroom 5.
