Wild Eider

Nicely done Russ, there were some youngsters in the harbour when we were there last year. :)

A first for me! A pair of Eider duck in Seahouses harbour:

420mm; ISO 200; f/7.1; 1/640s

This third one IMO is the standout one because it shows I surmise some pair bonding behaviour. The other two (and I take the same sort ;) ) are more record shots :)

- many thanks B.B. for comments - Record shots the first two are, but you just have to get whatever you can when it’s your first ever sighting in the wild :)
The male Eiders are another duck that likes to throw its head back to impress the 'ladies'. :)
- many thanks Roger - in fact both male and female were exhibiting the same behaviour on this occasion :)
