Elgol Sunrise and rain storm

A few weeks back I had a most interesting morning at Elgol.

The dawn was lovely so took a couple of different takes

This 7x5 being my favourite

The best came later when a rain storm came in over the Cuillin Ridge but sunlight from the still relatively low sun was hitting Sgurr Na Stri - I took a few as the light moved around the mountain

That first one is, imo, a particularly lovely image, with beautiful light and fine composition.

The first isn't doing much for me TBH, even though it has all the right elements, but I really like the second with its air of mystery and subtle tones & colours.

Thanks Ruth. Fear not reflections of the most still variety will be posted soon. The first mirror scenes of 2018 have been bagged and there’s hopefully more on the way tomorrow.
