Taken on Monday, DOOM 11/12 took off just after 16.00 and shortly returned to bash the circuit for about 40 mins at the right time of day.

Superb lighting (and Lightning). Cant wait to get my D500 now. Its on its way.
Is the lens you used far different to a 150-600mm? It certainly looks top quality.

Thanks Jason. You will love the D500, incredible camera best AF on any Nikon or Canon I've ever used.

To be honest I have not used the 150-600, but I read a lot of reviews that said this 60-600mm is really strong at the long end, which is where you want it to be for this sort of work. I think there is sample variation with anything, but most people find it sharp wide open at 600mm. Happy to send you some full res shots if it helps.

The only downside for me is accepting it is not a 300mm f2.8 or 420mm f4.0 with an extender. I love to shoot in the low light levels and some of these were down to 1/320th which is a bit slow for fast jets when the lens is heavy and not the easiest to pan with. No OS used.

The plus side is the zoom offers frames the prime wouldn't by being able to back off and zoom in!
