A selection from Tues 17th, second of the Trade Days, heat haze a bit problematic on the longer reach shots:(

I went yesterday and was really disappointed. I know they're restricted due to its location but I thought there was a whole lot of times where nothing happened in terms of flying. F16 and Harrier were great, a350 was amazing how quiet it was and how it just hangs in the air.

I won't go again - there was a program which just repeated itself ( pretty much ) after 3 hours. For me, Bournemouth or Eastbourne offer more to see

PS - good shots btw, I need a longer lens as 70-300 doesn't cut it

The flying display is a pale shadow of many years ago. I know its primarily a trade show (and the flying display on Tues was even less than the weekend!) but other trade shows manage much better displays, in particular ILA Berlin and Paris.

Due to defence cuts the only major UK airshow with modern content is now RIAT Fairford. It is worth looking out for special one off shows as a lot of air arms are celebrating 100th anniversaries, we went to the Belgian Air Force show at Kleine Brogel a few years back and it was superb!

Years ago we were spoilt for choice with great shows at Mildenhall, Waddington, Finningley, Leuchars, Alconbury, Upper Heyford etc
