Few Bird of prey photos

Hi Will and welcome,a semi decent set to remember the day by imho.

#1 Ok but the bg in these types of shots never do the picture any good.

#2 A good portrait but perhaps a little more saturation a small amount of sharpening would improve it further.

#3 Slightly oof on the head and the womans head behind does it no favours.

#4 Slightly spoilt by the mesh in fron of the subject.

#5 A lower pov would have helped hear if it was possible, an aperture of F4 and being relatively close has given you a narrow dof. A shutter speed of 1/100 could be another reason why the head looks slightly soft, dont be frightened to push the iso up to help with a faster shutter. Notice the leading edge of the left wing. Virtually on the same focal plane as the feathers on the neck, all in focus. Whereas the feet and right wing are either side of your area in focus.

#6 It depicts what it is like for a bird in captivity and the image is sharp enough and well exposed. Just remember to give yourself a bit of space to be able to crop as and how you want too in PP, whilst it may not seem important chopping the foot off of the chick, it can make all the difference in the end shot.
