Fife Piers in the Haar

Not working a Monday gives an opportunity to pop out for a few shots and not worry too much about traffic and other people. A lie in was needed so headed out when Landscapers fear to dread at midday. The lowish sun and haar created fairly diffused lighting conditions and I went for exposures of a minute to further soften the images. I liked the contrast of the soft light, flat seas and low contrast backgrounds against the rugged piers. Seems ages since I took a landscape photo but was forced out as I never had a Triptych for a forthcoming camera club comp. I think I scrape one out of these.

They are nice Simon lovely subtle processing I like the rail bridge in the first shot the way it is almost dissapearing
I would have made the piers darker but the more I look the more I like what you have done.

Darker was the way I went initially but the haar gave the scene a nice soft feel so I went low contrast and light. The piers were all lit by the sun so they were quite light to the eye. Thanks

I too prefer the 1st image- the bridge really makes it for me :)
