My work was invited to play against a local pubs Sunday team as a friendly/warm up match. The game was played at Palmerston Park (Queen of the South Stadium) and I couldnt pass on the opportunity to photograph the game. Being my first attempt at sports photography I did some research about stance/positioning.... I think I did well with the photos, the lads at work and from the pub are happy with the results. I was trying to get a photo of each player from work so I moved around the pitch as and when I could, my work are in the red and black we needed to borrow a kit from another pub team as we dont have a works kit.

Let me know what you think :)

Right, caught again in the definition of football! In my kind of football, the players
are substantially more… substantial.

In any kind of action, the critical interest resides in the chosen moment, you
got a good trigger timing!

Thankyou for your feedback :) I must have taken nearly 400 photos within the 60mins of playing time.

For a first attempt, I'd say they were pretty good Sam!

Thanks, I did enjoy it and will probably look at taking more sports photos in the near future.
