Critique First Go At Seals

You certainly have got it's attention in the first shot, fine work.
 
Great to see wild seals, but they look a little soft to me, and the colours look rather flat

Were these taken in RAW or JPEG, and are they heavy crops as that might explain the softness
 
We're shot in raw ... But I posted these from my phone after saving them from Facebook as my oh was using the laptop so there may be some compression issues there
 
very soft images- and as said a little flat colour wise- was it a dull day?

did you shoot at the maximum focal length of the 55 to 250mm as most zooms can be soft at maximum focal length

They might have been , but they are saved from Facebook so I
Think they may be compressed

I'm Viewing from my iPhone which has a smashed screen so I can't really tell

I will get to the laptop when I can and post from the original file
