First outing with my Fuji

Not quite sure if this is the right section or not. The route to my local shopping mall, set within the mountains in the middle of a desert. Not the greatest of shots I admit but this morning was the first opportunity I got to go out with my camera since bringing it back from the UK with me.

Like them both Alex, I'm sure someone will be along to give you helpful crit, but I just like them as shots. The symmetry of the trees and earth colours of the hills in the first, and the way the light in the scene gives a sense of the receding line of hills in the distance

Thanks Rob. I like the 1st in that it does show what it's like here with the sand and the mountains and the almost starkness. The second I'm not so sure. The only real detail is in the foreground and it feels like there is something missing.

Same for me liking the first one. The second I was not so sure until I looked at it in more detail and I found the colour of the play area stood out to me which was a nice contrast.
