These were captured in our garden today. The two subjects were quite small, perhaps around 1mm in length, and were both moving around. For the first time I used a pair of 2X teleconverters with the A7ii and Laowa 100mm 2X macro, to give a maximum magnification of 8X, which I used for some of the shots, and close to it for most of the rest. It was an experimental session (written up here in my Journey thread), and some of these are especially soft because I used too small an aperture for them - exploring apertures was a major part of the experiment.

I shot raw and processed with a preset in PhotoLab, image-specific adjustments in Lightroom and output sharpening and noise reduction in DeNoise AI.

Perhaps the first is a barkfly nymph and the second an aphid nymph. Or perhaps not.

There are 1300 pixel high versions in this album at Flickr.

Very cool and handheld, you must have very steady hands.
A Barkfly and a Aphid by the look of it.

Thanks Graham. Not all that steady. For me its more to do with timing as the image bobs around on the LCD (which is particularly "interesting" when the light levels are lowish and I'm not using a focusing light, because the image on the LCD gets very laggy).

A Barkfly and a Aphid by the look of it.

So I was right (for once :) )
