A really nice set of images Alf, that harvestman shot is right on the money with good detail and composition and also what looks like another little insect in the background.(y)

The Harvestman ran off sharpish when I tried to get closer

Nicely seen what flash you using?

My little Nissin Di466 is not going to go well with a D800e but if you look through the show us you macro rig thread some of the set ups might Adam

Nice set Alf - and a bonus midge in #3.

Paul.

Thanks Paul I think is a liitle orange fly of the type I shot around that time

The harvestman looks very nice Alf(y)

Thanks Icy the ID may be Platybunus (formerly Rilaena) triangularis

That's a nice set Alf, both the subjects and your rendition of them.

BTW, thinking about rendition, your comment about closing up the histogram is proving really useful. I'm back taking note of the histogram again and it's made a huge amount of difference. Thanks for that.

Thanks Nick and I am glad to have helped you .

Great one of the harvestman they are hard to do justice

Thanks Pete
