Flowers and Bees

First attempt at taking some shots at flowers, would've helped if I didn't choose such a windy day. Would have liked a slightly better angle of the bee. These were at Alnwick Garden, wish I had visited in the summer though.

I really like the bee on the aster in the first shot, although I prefer the composition in the second shot, shame the depth of field is a little too shallow though (the bee's wing is in focus but the body and flower head are out of focus). I also really like the colours and detail of the rudbeckia and echinacea, but not so keen on the rose, although I can't put my finger on why, it might be the vignette is a bit over powering.

These were at Alnwick Garden, wish I had visited in the summer though.

Then they wouldn't have been in flower These are autumn flowering plants after all.
