As mentioned in the Talk F&C group, I entered the twitter FP4party challenge in November (and may enter the one planned for January 18). I though I might put up my entries in this thread. All were taken on the last day of Shoot Week, over the space of an hour or so; it was the day of heavy snow, which provided some interesting subject. All shot on FP4+ (of course) with a Pentax MX and a Vivitar 35-70 lens. A few other shots suffered from differential exposure in the left and right halves, so it looks like the dodgy shutter curtain is back. Home developed with Ilfosol 3 in a Rondinax 35 daylight tank and home scanned on a Plustek 7500i with Vuescan Pro.

1) Day 1, started rather tentatively with this rather nothing shot of a creek coming in to the local brook.

2) Day 2, "A pause in the sledging"

7) Day 7 and last day of FP4party post week, another shot of Kenilworth castle in the snow:

8) Day 7, found a few more shots. "Picket gate to Kenilworth Castle"

9) Day 7, “The indecisive moment”… see potential, raise camera, focus, miss shot!

Great work, Chris. My pick is number 5, really well composed with the gate in the foreground.
Thanks Carl, yes I think it does work better than no 7. If the zoom went a bit wider I might have got a version of 7 from the point where you could see the gate more clearly. Still looking for a 28-70 or even a 24-70 quality manual K-mount zoom! While common these days, it appears such a zoom was a bit beyond 1970s lens technology!

Ok, changed my mind, now my favourite is number 8 :)

Thanks, I like that one too! Interesting, they both got about the same number of likes on twitter, while Snow Tree got quite a few more. Number 3 was the titter likes winner by a fair margin.

Very nice set, an excellent winter study. I had forgotten how contrsty FP4 is and this works so well with you chosen subject.

Really like the tenement stairs shot Chris. (y)

Thanks Peter. One day when I have my Chroma in Edinburgh, I might try that with some front rise to reduce the convergence effect.

ETA there's not much space, just across a not-wide street.

The kitchen door shot is my favourite of these Chris, not that easy to get details in the shadows and the landscape beyond.

FP4 is next on my list of film to try!! Excellent images!

Here are the shots from my roll (that I've uploaded to Flickr so far - I'll add the others in a couple of days).

I think 1, 2 & 4 are my favourites of these.

All shot with my Yashica Mat 124 G
