In some places called Nutria, Coypu, or Ragondin (France),
these guys live normally at the other end of the marsh, well
over there range of my 600 mm / D810 combo.

For some reasons, they swim the whole 360 m to my favourite
shooting position to "socialize" shall I say with the other fauna.

Yesterday, this one came at the perfect distance…

Sorry John but this fellow has education
and would certainly not do that in public!

If you look closer, he got his arm out of the
way to scratch his neck with the hind foot!

    Thanks Charles!

Bribe? I don't know… but many people will bring
all kind of food for the animals. That apple made
    it very happy!

Excellent set,Daniel. Is number 2 camera shy ? Lol.

I have seen these in Brittany ..for the first and lsst when we visited friends who told me to go down to the small river..or large stream, whatever. I was told that they are subject to culls from time to time. They seemed to be social animals, stayed in a small group most of the time but a few looked like juveniles so maybe it was a family. They were on the river bank right next the bridge I was on.
