I am (slowly) trying to reduce my backlog of unprocessed images. Here are some that I have just processed from a session in our garden in July last year.

The source files were captured hand-held using natural light with a Panasonic G9 and Olympus 60mm macro.

For the focus stacked images I used Helicon Focus to extract JPEGs from 6K videos, stack them and retouch them. I then used Lightroom for post processing and DeNoise AI for output sharpening and noise reduction. #3, #4 and #6 also had a round trip from Lightroom to Photoshop and back for a little edge-stretching to balance the compositions.

The single-capture images were captured as raw using aperture bracketing. I used Silkypix for raw conversion, Lightroom for post processing and DeNoise AI for output sharpening and noise reduction. #2 and #5 also had a round trip from Lightroom to Photoshop and back to remove distractions using cloning that was too difficult to do in Lightroom.

#2 used PhotoLab after Silkypix. I have an on/off relationship with PhotoLab as far as flowers are concerned. I included it in the processing chain for the first few images I processed but as I have felt before the effect seemed a bit heavy-handed, as for example with the petals on #2. Rather than trying to adjust the PhotoLab parameters I just dropped it from the processing chain and was content with what I got without it. I forgot to go back and reprocess #2 without PhotoLab. (Incidentally, PhotoLab remains a key element for my invertebrate images, even though I now use it after Silkypix rather than before and consequently cannot use PhotoLab's PRIME noise reduction, which originally was my main reason for purchasing PhotoLab.)

These images are taken from this album at Flickr, which contains 1300 pixel high versions of these images and the other images from the session.
